The Alice Sanctuary is a Registered Charity. We are a vegan farm animal sanctuary. Founded in 2014 and located near Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Home to just over 200 animals.

Mission.

The Alice Sanctuary provides care and healing for rescued, surrendered, and abandoned farm animals. Drawing from the resiliency and life-affirming presence of the animals who live here, the goal of The Alice Sanctuary is to empower, encourage, and inspire visitors to find the tools they need to go out and make a positive change in the world around them.

Out of respect for the non-human animals in their care, no consumption of animal products by humans is allowed on the farm sanctuary’s property.

That the farm sanctuary has a vegan food policy in place for fundraising and events, especially with third parties and other groups.

FARMED ANIMALS

Priority is given to the emotional and physical well being of the non-human animals in their care for the entirety of their lives. They are not used for amusement, labour or monetary gain.

When interacting with the public, education is key, and it is made known to respect all non-human animals’ boundaries. All non-human animals who do not like public interaction are kept separate and/or given space to leave.
